Components:

For the Chocolate Cake:

2 cups all-purpose flour

2 cups granulated sugar

3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

2 teaspoons baking powder

1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup buttermilk, at room temperature

1/2 cup vegetable oil

2 massive eggs, at room temperature

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 cup boiling water

For the Creamy Filling:

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup powdered sugar

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Chocolate Ganache:

8 oz semisweet or darkish chocolate, finely chopped

1 cup heavy cream

1 tablespoon unsalted butter (elective, for shine)

For the Vanilla or White Chocolate Frosting (Elective):

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

2 cups powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2-3 tablespoons heavy cream

4 oz white chocolate, melted and cooled (elective)
