Philly Cheesesteak Garlic Bread


Prepare Your Bread and Oven:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice your loaf of bread in half lengthwise and place it cut side up on a baking sheet.
Cook the Steak:
Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ribeye steak and cook until it’s browned and fully cooked, seasoning with salt and pepper. Once done, remove the steak from the skillet and set it aside.
Caramelize the Onions:
In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil. Sauté the onions until they are beautifully caramelized. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
Assemble the Garlic Bread:
Spread the cooked steak evenly over the bread halves, followed by the caramelized onions and garlic.
Generously sprinkle the shredded cheese over the top, covering the steak and onions.
Add Optional Toppings:
If you like, add any optional toppings such as bell peppers, mushrooms, or jalapeños to introduce additional flavors and textures.
Bake
Place the assembled bread in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese has melted into a bubbly, golden blanket and the edges of the bread are crisp.
Serve
Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before cutting into individual portions. This allows the cheese to set slightly, making it easier to serve.
