In September 2023, a woman who did not reveal her name told her story on Reddit. The woman remembered that three out of the five years she and her husband had been together were spent as a married couple.
One of the biggest issues in their marriage was how much control her husband’s mother had. The woman tried to look calm, but she was really upset by this invasion, shown through unwanted comments and actions.
The woman strongly believed that it was unfair to hold a grudge against her partner for things that were not his fault. No matter how mean his mother was, he couldn’t change her words or actions. What really bothered her the most was that he didn’t defend her when his mother’s interference made her feel scared or upset.

She called her husband’s father and invited both of his parents to their home that evening.
Why did the woman’s husband get a paternity test?
The situation became very tense when the mother-in-law boldly questioned if the woman’s child was really her husband’s. “My mother-in-law has been saying that my son doesn’t resemble my husband when he was a young child.” Essentially, they are accusing me of being promiscuous. “This made me really angry,” said the furious woman.
